About Percy

Percy’s Story

Percy Bass is a native of San Antonio, TX. He received his BBA degree in Human Resource Management from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1999 and began working in corporate America.

After an encounter with a family member at a family dinner, Percy became dedicated to understanding all he could about nutrition.  As a result, Percy decided to attain his degree in Dietetics. Thus, he attended Texas Women’s University and in 2004 graduated with his BS degree in Dietetics and Institutional Administration.

After graduation, he went on to do his dietetic internship at Iowa State University and clinical training at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He then started his new career as a Clinical Dietitian and over the years became Director of Food and Nutrition Services at a local Hospital in the DFW Metroplex

In 2008, while still working as a clinical dietitian, Percy founded Head2Toe Nutrition in an effort to help people get their health back through proper nutrition practices. Knowing that nutrition and fitness go hand in hand, Percy attained his Personal Training Certification from the Cooper Institute in Dallas Texas.

After providing health and fitness programs from the park, the recreation center, and online, Percy opened up Head2Toe Fitness studio in Grand Prairie, TX in 2013.

Percy resides in Arlington, TX with his wife and their four children.

Percy’s Philosophy on nutrition is that Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring or bland. He meets people where they are and helps them create a plan that allows them to still enjoy the cultural foods they have grown up on but in a healthier matter that takes them closer to their goals and further from Disease and Ailments that plaque our community.

Through Percy’s perseverance and dedication to his passion of helping people sustain a better quality of life, his D.O.P.E Method for health and wellness is life changing and it helps men and women of all ages and walks of life meet their health, fitness and lifestyle goals.
